| A six month visit to the USA in 1958 altered the course of her life when she met and married her husband, Rolf, who also grew up in Germany. They settled in Alabama and have raised two children. 26-year-old Oliver is now an active member of Anne's growing enterprise. |
| Anne-Katrin is a creative cook who relishes doing something different with food. This led her to establish a fancy bakery - Konditorei - in 1984. Soon the bakery grew into a catering and box lunch business servicing corporate as well as private needs. The inspiration for the original herb mix grew out of an order specifying a chip and dip party for a large company. While this might not sound like an unusual challenge to most folks, Mrs. Krueger's eagerness to provide her customers with something out of the ordinary makes the difference. |

Tired of the regular dips, she began concocting. (When Anne-Katrin begins concocting, the "tasters" stand in line to give their opinions.) As a result, her first mix, the Original, was born. Next came the Cajun mix providing a spicier variety, excellent in seafood. The Tarragon, to use in chicken dishes, was next and eventually the international flavors: Italian, Greek ... and more. Because of their versatility, the mixes are gaining in popularity. Each packet contains several suggestions for use. At present they may be found in select grocery and specialty stores across the southeast. The shop, entitled simply Anne-Katrin's, is usually a hubbub of activity. People drop over from the beauty shop next door and have even driven from as far away as Atlanta for one of her famous box lunches.
